Hi! My Name is Henry.
I’m a 3-time entrepreneur and experienced product manager that leads software companies through their early stages of growth. I’ve built two 7-figure revenue startups, multiple new products that generate >$10M in annual revenue, and created over 100 software applications. I love building teams and tackling hard problems.
I spent my early years in Southern California and then on an island north of Seattle. I found my way out to the midwest for college and the start of my career. Now I’m back to the west coast / best coast.
After leading a digital media startup (Dose Media) through rapid viral growth, profitability, and multiple stages of fundraising, I founded a software consultancy (Earlybird) focused on data engineering and analytics for medium-size businesses. I combined my experience with viral marketing and process optimization into a productivity software startup (Tribe) for professional services, which was acquired in 2017. Shortly after, I joined SpaceX to work on the internal software team, building systems for managing rocket configurations and controlling defective parts. Later, I joined Cornerstone (Talent Management Software), where we built out a new platform for employee skills & capabilities, powered by a machine learning-based skills ontology. For a few years, I worked with Center (corporate card / spend management) and helped build their Embedded Spend Management business from the ground up.
I’ve been fortunate enough to participate in the Techstars accelerator, the Junto Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership, and the Decelera startup program. I’ve raised a seed round, series A, sold a startup, and led acquisitions of 2 startups from inside a public scale software business. I suppose that’s almost like a startup MBA.
I like helping other founders in the community, and I make smaller investments in pre-seed and seed stage startups. I’ve been an instructor and mentor for the Startup Institute and Startup Weekend. If you’re building a startup or new product and looking for help, don’t hesitate to reach out!
